Aléa is a cuvée produced in very small quantities. It is a collection of several plots: Petite Chapelle, Corbeaux, Combottes and Clos Prieur.
These Gevrey Premiers Crus are just as complex as they are interesting. This is why Aléa is a wine with similar aromatic connotations to some Grands Crus.
The franchise of this vintage gives a frank wine, with superb aromas of red fruit enhanced by floral scents. The middle of the mouth brings beautiful fine and elegant tannins directing the wine towards a long and characterful finish.
The blending, or should I say the marriage, of all these Premiers Crus is a great achievement that gives a Pinot Noir of complexity.
