Chapelle-Chambertin covers just over 5 hectares and owes its name to the chapel built in 1155 by the religious of the Abbey of Bèze, a stone's throw from the Clos de Bèze, which was razed to the ground during the Revolution.
Classified as a Grand Cru, the appellation produces only red wine. Aromas of small red and black fruits, notes of black cherry, bitter chocolate, liquorice and truffle: these are the characteristics of this wine that is appreciated on its youth or beyond 15 years of age.
