Domaine Heresztyn-Mazzini was established in 2012 when Florence Heresztyn took over her family’s business in Gevrey-Chambertin, with her husband Simon Mazzini. Although based in Gevrey-Chambertin, its only grand cru is a 40-year-old 0.23ha parcel in neighbouring Morey-St-Denis.
This 2017 vintage is quite a ripe wine but has plenty of tannin structure to support it. Spices and oak, with some chalky minerality add extra complexity. The estate is farmed biodynamically and was certified organic also in 2017
